Sunday, May 19 in Worship at 10:30 AM

We welcome guest singers at our 10:30 AM service on Pentecost Sunday, May 19: Fifteen singers from Northwest Repertory Singers, (a 40-voice auditioned choir that Cantor Kyle directs in Tacoma) will join us to present two sacred pieces from their recent concert program.  “Set Me as a Seal,” by retired Concordia College, Moorhead choral legend René Clausen, is a lush setting of poetry from the Song of Songs;
and “This Little Light of Mine” is an original composition in the African American spiritual tradition by the late Moses Hogan, one of the foremost 20th century composers in this genre. These contrasting pieces will help inspire our worship as we celebrate the coming of the promised Holy Spirit.
