Rev. Dr. Richard W. Rouse is a Lutheran pastor, professor, author, and popular conference speaker.  He has served congregations in Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona.   Rouse was the Executive Director for Church Relations and Continuing Education at Pacific Lutheran University. He served as adjunct faculty at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN and at the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest (LSPS) in Austin, TX.  Rouse was the Founder and Director of the Missional Leadership Academy for the Grand Canyon Synod of the ELCA.

A certified Spiritual Director, Rouse is a member of the Advisory Board for Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and is also on the Executive Committee of Seattle University’s Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement.  He is the author of numerous publications, including The World is About to Turn: Mending a Nation’s Broken Faith (2020) that he co-authored with Paul Ingram and his new book just released by Chalice Press (2024) A Journey Called Hope: Today’s Immigrant Stories and the American Dream. He and his wife, Beth Lewis, reside in Mukilteo, WA.
