DONATING STOCKS AND SECURITIES
Gifts of appreciated stocks and securities can be an excellent way to share God’s gifts. Donating stock to your church is a simple process. Queen Anne Lutheran Church maintains a brokerage account at Edward Jones for the purpose of accepting your gifts of stock.
OUR ENDOWMENT FUND
The giving of a legacy gift to the Endowment Fund helps ensure that Queen Anne Lutheran will be able to fulfill our mission both today and tomorrow.
There are many ways to give to this important fund. You can donate cash, stock, real estate, or personal property at any time. When updating your estate papers, you can include Queen Anne by setting up a charitable annuity or charitable trust, or listing Queen Anne as a beneficiary of your will, trust, IRA, 401K, or life insurance policy.
SUNDAY OFFERINGS
Offerings are collected during worship, and cash or checks may be placed in the collection plate. Donations will go to our General Fund unless otherwise specified. Designations may be made on a check’s memo line, or by writing on an offering envelope.
A few tips to help our dedicated Counters ensure accurate accounting of your gift: please write the dollar amount of your gift on the offering envelope. Write the name of any fund or organization designation as well. If using a pew envelope, it’s helpful to include the following information: (1) your name, (2) your assigned envelope number (if you are a member and have one and (3) total dollar amount enclosed. The Counters will appreciate your help.
ABOUT OFFERING ENVELOPE PACKETS
There are offering envelopes in the pews for anyone’s use. When requested, members are provided with personal packets of offering envelopes to use in worship or by mail, with an assigned number. Simply drop your gifts in the offering plate, and your personalized envelope number will assure that your contributions are properly credited. Of course, offering envelopes can be mailed to the church office if you can’t attend a service. Please use the regular offering envelopes to make gifts to Queen Anne Lutheran Church. Special offerings envelopes are also provided in the packet for contributions to special programs. If you have not received envelopes and would like to use them for giving, please contact the church office and we will send you a packet.
